Dolls for orphans in Nicaragua

I found out about this project through several Oklahoma crafters. The folks over at Craft Hope are currently collecting handmade dolls to deliver to children in an ophanage in Nicaragua.

This is the first doll I've ever made:

Want to make a doll or two? Check out Craft Hope.

Deadline for dolls is June 13th.

Happy sewing!

  3. Thanks girls!
My grandma made dolls, but this was my first one! (I'm planning to post a bit on my grandma's handywork soon).
    You can do it, Brigid!

  4. That's a really cool idea! How generous of you to participate, and to encourage other to do so as well. I've never made a doll either, I'm not sure that anyone would want it if I did....

  5. That is a cute doll. You did an awesome job. I've never learned to sew, but it's something I've been meaning to bug my grandma to teach me.
